29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures shall be developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees are engaged in the activities covered by this section. a. On or about June 29, 2017, located at the Fanuc gantry robot located in the Heat Treat and Paint Department on Paint Line #1, the employer did not develop, document and utilize lockout/tagout procedures for the control of hazardous energy as per 1910.147(c)(4)(ii), thereby exposing the employees to the release of stored energy and/or the unexpected startup of equipment.
