Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1): Powered industrial truck(s) found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe had not been taken out of service until restored to safe operating condition(s): JOB SITE: 3200 E. Outer Road, Scott City, MO 63702, on or about 5/17/2017, a safety check was conducted on three (3) forklifts and found two (2) forklifts (Hyster Model: H50XM, S/N: H177B42603A & Hyster Model: H50CT, S/N: B274V01915P) revealed the emergency brakes while engaged failed to stop the forklifts from moving in the forward or reverse gear. The forklifts found to be defective and unsafe had not been taken out of service.
