29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, were not protected by protective helmets: a) North side, entrance overhang: Three employees exposed to head injury while working on the entrance overhang without any head protection; using hammers and nail guns to attach framing lumber and standing under other employees working above them; on or about 02/24/2017; b) North side, entrance overhang: Employee without head protection was holding the 6' step ladder while another employee climbed the ladder with an approximate 29 foot long 2x10 inch plank on his shoulder, employee climbing ladder not using any head protection, on or about 02/24/2017; c) North side, west end of building; exterior wall of the Pro-Shop: Employee without head protection and working from an improperly set up extension ladder was using a pneumatic nail gun while attaching sheeting above the windows, on or about 02/24/2017. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
