29 CFR 1910.1047(h)(2): Employees were not immediately evacuated from the area when exposed to ethylene oxide during an emergency situation: (a) In Sterile Processing, on or about October 20, 2016, an ethylene oxide detector (sensor #2), which was directly in front of the Gas Sterilizer was alarming during 2nd shift. The sensor was set to alarm if the ETO level exceeds 5 ppm. Employees were not immediately evacuated from Sterile Processing.
