29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels is not protected by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): (a) The employer does not ensure workers engaged in roofing activities use fall protection. This condition most recently occurred on September 12, 2016, where employees re-roofing a house were working on a 6 in 12 pitch roof at ground to eave heights above 8 feet without fall protection. Note: Abatement certification AND supporting documentation are required for this item.
