29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): On or about August 11, 2016, and at time prior thereto, at this metal molds and dies manufacturing plant, employees engaged in making textures of the metal molds and the employer did not perform an assessment to determine the need for personal protective equipment (PPE), such as, but not limited to, chemical splash goggles and /or full face shield against corrosive chemicals.
