29 CFR 1910.94(a)(4)(ii): An abrasive separator shall be provided for the purpose of the removal of spent fines from recirculated abrasives. a) Abrasive blast cleaning room, on or about 8/23/16: Abrasive blaster was exposed to 39 milligrams per cubic meter (mg/m3), or 7.8 times the permissible exposure limit (PEL), of 5 mg/m3 of respirable dust during the 480 minute sampling period. Fine dust particles were not separated from coarse dust during the recirculation of blasting agent. Abatement certification must be submitted for this item
