29 CFR 1910.23(a)(1): Every stairway floor opening was not guarded by a standard railing constructed in accordance with paragraph (e) of this section on all exposed sides (except at the entrance to the stairway). a) Sorter Area - On or about February 10, 2016, the vertical height of the top rail guarding the color sorters stairway opening was approximately 30.75 inches, thus exposing employees to fall hazard of approximately 7 feet onto wooden stairs.
