At construction site, Dog River Road, Douglasville, GA. employee was exposed to when working on and near concrete pump truck that shifted suddenly when it's right front outrigger broke through the dunnage and sank into the ground. An employee of another employer on site died from injuries sustained when he was struck by the shifting concrete pump truck's concrete delivery hose, on or about August 30, 1991. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to establish methods and procedures to determine the ground conditions on the job site, so a suitable area with stable ground conditions can be used for pump truck set up.
