"The following alleged violations have been grouped becaause they involve similar or related hazards that may increase the potential for injury resulting from an accident". Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that on and before 2/10/93, employees were exposed to the hazard of broken bones, internal injuries, or death from falls while on the roof removing or installing sheet metal roofing, Plant 2, building under renovation. Feasible methods of abatement may include, but are not limited to, the use of fall protection systems such as static and/or catenary lines in conjunction with safety belts and lanyards, nets, aerial lifts, catch platforms, and scaffolding.
