Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a struck by hazard associated with the installation of inadequately braced prefabricated wood and metal plate connected parallel chord trusses: a. Site- Employees working from the ground and ladders were not protected from a struck by hazard where prefabricated wood and metal plate connected parallel chord trusses were not adequately braced during installation.
