29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b). Employees installing a new composite roof with a 8/12 pitch and 16/12 pitch roof were not provided with fall protection, exposing them to an unprotected fall: a) On or about October 2, 2014, employees were observed working on the roof and top ridge edges exposed to approximately a 20 feet fall to the ground below, and b) On or about October 3, 2014, the employees were observed on the roof wearing harnesses that were not connected with lanyards and anchored to protect the employees from a fall hazard and exposed to approximately a 10 foot fall to the ground below.
