Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazards of being thrown from a moving vehicle and crushed in a rollover event: a. On or about September 4, 2014, an employee operating an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) was exposed to crash and rollover hazards in that the controllability and stability of the ATV was compromised by the addition of lawn care spraying and spreading equipment that had not been tested or approved by the manufacturer.
