OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment in a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to crushing type injuries and death from falling trees: Lucerne - On or about 8/28/14, an employee working underneath a ninety-foot tall pine tree was struck and killed, when a forty-foot long section of tree was cut by the chain saw operator and fell onto the employee.
