29 CFR 1910.36(h)(3): The outdoor exit route must be reasonably straight and have smooth, solid, substantially level walkways. a. Stairway near loading dock area- On or about August 14, 2014, employees were required to use an outside exit route stairway. The stairway platform hand railings were rusted and the structure itself was found to be in an unserviceable condition. There was a 3" W X 12"L hole at the top landing near the doors threshold and the whole structure shook while walking up and down the staircase. Thereby exposing employees to slip, trip, and fall hazards.
