29 CFR 1926.501(b)(12): Each employee engaged in the erection of precast concrete members (including, but not limited to the erection of wall panels, columns, beams, and floor and roof "tees") and related operations such as grouting of precast concrete members, who is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a. On or about 07/02/2014, Kern Construction Co., Inc., # Royal Palm Professional Bldg-62-3A Estate Thomas, St Thomas VI. -form wall construction area: The employees were working over form wall platform of 7'-3" high from the lower level without a conventional fall protection system, such as guardrail, safety net, or personal fall arrest system in place. NOTE: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and health officer during the inspection.
