Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a) On or about June 10, 2014, and at times prior, employees were exposed to crushing and struck-by hazards while working underneath trailer mounted carnival rides in order to disconnect them from tractor axles. On June 10, 2014, an employee was fatally injured when the Sizzler ride trailer was lowered onto him during the disconnection process before the hoist mechanism had been deployed.
