29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): The employer did not ensure that exit routes are free and unobstructed with no materials or equipment placed, either permanently or temporarily, within the exit route: a) The exit pathway from the store checkout area to exit D is blocked by the shopping carts and a 4 ft high wall that was built across the passageway. b) Exit E was partly blocked by boxes stored on the steps leading to the exit; Exit located in the kitchen showroom mezzanine. Location: Home Depot Store located at 980 Third Ave, New York, N.Y. On or about 1/17/2014 NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
