Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by and/or caught-in-between hazards. MECHANICAL AREA; On or about November 12, 2013 the employer did not ensure that the auto lift was in a safe and operable condition: 1) The overhead safety cut-off switch was inoperable. 2) Certification of inspection could not be produced by the employer and was not posted at or near the lift. 3) No operator's manual was available upon request.
