Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of their employees employment and a place of employment which are free from the recognized hazards which are causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by and/or caught-in-between hazards from automotive lifts: This violation was discovered on 11/1/2013 where employee used a 2 by 4 wooden block to stabilize vehicle on the auto lift swing arm in lieu of the manufacture's approved rubber padding necessary raise the vehicle safely.
