Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were likely to cause death or serious physical harm to the employees in that employees were exposed to a fall or crushing hazards while being raised, lowered, and working in the elevated front end loader bucket to perform work such climbing out to level loads in a trailer and to secure scrap loads on trailers: (a) Scrap yard area: Employees were exposed to falls of approximately 13 feet and crushing hazards between the bucket and scrap trailer while being lifted and lowered in the bucket of an International 530 front end loader, as determined on September 9, 2013.
