OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to being struck by a falling tree (spar), limbs or branches during tree removal operations: On July 2, 2013, at 4 N 893 Black Willow Drive in Campton Hills, Illinois, Creekside Tree Service, Inc. employees did not remain at a safe distance from falling tree parts while working near an active manual tree felling operation. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
