OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a struck-by hazard while offloading vertically loaded steel coils with weights greater than 4000 pounds that were insufficiently cribbed and unsafely positioned on the flatbed of a trailer. a. On or about 06/25/2013, steel coil offload area - employees were exposed to struck-by and caught-in hazards when using a forklift to offload vertically loaded steel coils with weights greater than 4000 pounds from a flatbed trailer, which were insufficiently cribbed and unsafely postioned.
