OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing for likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Struck-by hazards from overhead hoists (a) 820 Highway 7 North in Holly Springs, MS - On or about April 30, 2013, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards due to frequent and periodic inspections of overhead hoists were not being conducted. Maintenance was not being performed because a defective safety latch was not replaced.
