29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees were not protected by protective helmets while working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns: (a) Trench, new storm management facility located between Lots #5 & #6 on South Sherwood Road, Smyrna, GA 30082: Employees installing sewer lines in an excavation that measured approximately 5-feet, 10-inches wide x 6-feet deep x 40-feet long were not provided with head protection while working in an excavation with no cave-in protection and within close proximity of the CAT 300DL Excavator bucket.
