29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) East side - peak - an employee was exposed to a fall of 24 feet 11 inches, in that, the use of fall protection was not enforced while he was cutting plywood. The employee would then walk to the center of the roof and give the wood to another employee on the second floor, on or about 3/26/13. b) East side - center of the roof - two employees were exposed to a fall of 24 feet 11 inches, in that, the use of fall protection was not enforced while assisting the foreman install trusses, on or about 3/26/13.
