29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Ladders were used for purposes other for which they were designed. (a) Wayne H. Miller & Sons Roofing, LLC on or about December 19, 2012, at the address of 7005 E. Bayshore Rd. Marblehead, OH: The employer failed to ensure an 8 ft. A-framed stepladder was opened during use. The ladder was closed and leaning against the structure while employees used the ladder to access the roof level. Employees were exposed to fall hazards due to the improper use and placement of this ladder.
