Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment in a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to 3435 Lamor Road, Hermitage, Pa: a) An effective safety program was not initiated and/or maintained to provide compliance with general safety and health provisions and standards. Additionally, the employer did not instruct employees and management representatives in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to their work environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury such as, but not limited to, machine guarding, and housekeeping.
