OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to fire, explosion, and struck-by hazards, when working from an elevated work platform: a. On or about December 9, 2012, Rig 18 Derrick Platform, During oil drilling rig operations, the employer did not properly install an auxiliary means of emergency escape prior to requiring an employee to work from the derrick man's platform which exposes employees to rig fire, explosion, and struck-by hazards. DAN D DRILLING CORPORATION, WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD, OSH ACT (5)(A)(1) GENERAL DUTY CLAUSE, WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 311002638, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 1, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON 4/4/08, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT BILLY 1-1, TONKAWA, OK 74653.
