29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor was an alternative fall protection measure provided: (a) Char Construction at 363 Osiander St., Fort Collins, CO 80524: On and before November 7, 2012, as the exposing employer, did not ensure the employees were protected from injury, in that employees engaged in construction activities on the 2nd level of a residential home had exposure to a fall hazard from an unprotected floor opening (stairwell opening) that lead into the basement. This condition exposed the employees to a fall hazard of approximately 18.5 feet. (b) Char Construction at 363 Osiander St., Fort Collins, CO 80524: On and before November 7, 2012, as the exposing employer, did not ensure the employees were protected from injury, in that employees engaged in construction activities on the 2nd level of a residential home had exposure to a fall hazard from unprotected sides and edges. This condition exposed the employees to a fall hazard of 11.5 feet. (c) Char Construction at 357 and 369 Osiander St., Fort Collins, CO 80524: On and before November 7, 2012, as the exposing employer, did not ensure the employees were protected from injury, in that employees engaged in construction activities on the 2nd level of a residential home had exposure to a fall hazard from unprotected wall openings (window openings). This condition exposed the employees to a fall hazard of approximately 11.5 feet.
