Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.22(a)(2): The floor of every workroom shall be maintained in a clean and, so far as possible, a dry condition. Where wet processes are used, drainage shall be maintained, and false floors, platforms, mats, or other dry standing places should be provided where practicable. Instance a: In the A house to C house crossover, there was a sheet of steel plating placed on the floor over an area where a conveyor was removed and there was a 2 3/4 gap beween the floor and the top of the sheet of metal thereby exposing employees to a trip/fall hazard. Instance b: In the center areas between the grain houses next to the dust systems, the doorway had unstable blocks stacked on the concrete to aid employees walking through water thereby exposing employees to a a trip/fall hazard.
