29 CFR 1910.178(n)(4): If the load being carried obstructs forward view, the driver was not required to travel with the load trailing. a. Shipping Dept. Powered industrial truck operator(s) carried two stacked units of palletized corrugated cardboard sheets in the forward position while traveling to specific dock doors to load trailers. The height of the product obstructed the view of the operators. The operators did not travel with the load trailing. b. Finishing Dept. Powered industrial truck operators carried stacks of corrugated cardboard in the forward position while traveling within the department. The height of the product obstructed the view of the operators. The operators did not travel with the load trailing. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
