Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazard from vehicular traffic. (a) Cook Plant - On or about September 25, 2012 several employees were exposed to struck by hazards from moving trucks while crossing the yard going to and from the designated break and smoke area. (b) Kill Plant - On or about October 10, 2012 a back dock worker was exposed to struck by hazard from moving trucks while catching runaway chickens.
