OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees were exposed to crush/struck by hazards: Location: First floor of house; a) Employer did not build 2nd story addition according to plans and specifications. Employees were exposed to crush/struck by hazards while working on the roof and inside the house. Among other methods, a feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is: Build according to the existing construction plans that were filed with NYC DOB and reviewed, approved and stamped with the seal of a registered architect.
