Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: BURNS
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees in that employees were exposed to amputation and burn hazards: (a)On or about 04/19/12 - CMT Hydraulic Press, employees were not protected from coming in contact with the point of operation. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to correct this hazard is to correctly install the presence-sensing devices or other methods to prevent the operator from coming in contact with the press, in accordance with the instructions found in ANSI B11.2-1995 (R2005), Section 11.5.
