Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: FALLING
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that employees were exposed to a fall from the bucket of a rough terrain fork truck at the eave level of a two-family house and there was no trained operator in a position to control the forklift. One feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to provide a personnel platform which complies with the design requirements listed in Part III of ANSI/ITSDF B56.6-2005, Safety Standard for Rough Terrain Forklift Trucks and to provide a trained operator to control the forklift as required in the Safety Standard for Rought Terrain Forklift Trucks - ANSI/ITSDF B56.6-2005. 11 BURDETTE ST, CLINTON, MA. 01510
