Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: FALLING
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to a fall hazard: a.On or about February 9, 2012, on the east side of the warehouse, near the propane storage area, employees were accessing the flat roof by placing a JLG aerial lift on a flatbed truck, exposing employees to a 29-foot fall hazard. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION ARE NOT REQUIRED. Among other methods, feasible means to correct this hazard would include but not limited to: Follow the manufacturers operators warnings and instructions as well as the warnings and instructions outlined in ANSI/ISA A92.6-1999 8.10(21)99
