Section 5(a)(1) of Public Law 91-596, the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to working around a Roof Glider whose safety light and alarm had been disabled. (a)On or about July 20, 2011 employees were exposed to a Roof Glider that did not have a working safety light or alarm, that would make the employees aware that the roof glider was in operation. One feasible and useful abatement method to correct the hazard is as follows: 1.Put the light and alarm, that was disabled, back in service.
