Section 6(a) of the Puerto Rico Occupational Safety and Health Act: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: Seccion 6(a) de la Ley de Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo de Puerto Rico: El patrono no proveyo empleo y un sitio de empleo libre de riesgos reconocidos que esten causando o que puedan causar muerte o dano fisico a los empleados, por cuanto empleados estaban expuestos a: Employees of Escorial MRI & CT Imaging Center PSC in Carolina, Puerto Rico, while worked in radiologic evaluations and administratives task were exposed to illnesses and injuries due that the employer did not have a written protocol to handled domestic violence in the workplace, as required by the Act for the implementation of a Protocol to Handle Domestic Violence Situation in the Workplace or Place of Employment Act No. 217 of September 29, 2006. Hazard: Employees exposed to domestic violence in the workplace. One method among others to abate this hazard: develop a written protocol to handle domestic violence in the workplace and provide training to all the employees, for have knowledge and act if this situation is presented. The Women's Advocate Office will provide to the employer the necessary technical guidance for implementation of the protocol. Empleados de Escorial MRI & CT Imaging Center PSC en Carolina, Puerto Rico, mientras trabajaban en tareas de evaluaciones radiologicas y administrativas, estaban expuestos a lesiones y enfermedades debido a que el patrono no tenia un protocolo escrito de violencia domestica en el lugar de trabajo, requerido bajo la Ley para la Implementacion del Protocolo de Situaciones de Violencia Domestica en el Lugar de Trabajo o Sitio de Empleo, Ley numero 217 del 29 de septiembre de 2006, y la Ley numero 16 del 5 de agosto de 1975 segun enmendada. Riesgo: Empleados expuestos a Violencia Domestica en el lugar de Trabajo. Un metodo para disminuir el riesgo: Desarrollar un protocolo escrito de violencia domestica en el lugar de trabajo y proveer adiestramiento a todos los empleados, para que tengan conocimiento y actuen en caso de que se presente esta situacinn. La Oficina de la Procuradora de la Mujer provee al patrono las guias necesarias para la implementacion del protocolo.
