Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that the following electrical disconnect switches and circuit breakers were not marked to indicate their purpose, exposing employees to electrical and mechanical hazards associated with exhaust fans: a)Barn 33 - Electrical disconnect switch for the exhaust fans were not marked to indicate the fan that they isolated. b)Hallway to Barn 33, Electrical Panel - Two circuit breakers marked "fans" were not adequately marked to indicate the fans they protected. One recognized and feasible means of abatement, among other methods, is to mark each fan location with a fan number and mark each electrical disconnect with the respective fan number.
