Nevada Revised Statute 618.375(1): Duties of employers. The employer failed to furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to his employees: The employer failed to ensure that the following processes were implemented and maintained in accordance with ANSI/ALI ALOIM-2008 as follows: a.Technicians who use the auto lifts were not trained in accordance with ANSI/ALI ALOIM-2008, page 6, para. 4.2 Training was not provided to employees. b.Daily Inspections. The employer did not inspect all the required items during the inspection process in accordance with ANSI/ALI ALOIM-2008, page 6, para. 4.4.4. No daily inspection documentation was provided during the inspection as well as any identifiable markings or paperwork of the manufacturer or distributor of the auto lifts. c.Qualified Inspection Procedure. The employer did not establish a periodic inspection procedure in accordance with the recommendations of the lift manufacturer in order to ensure reliability and allowed the continued safe operation of the lift as stated in ANSI/ALI ALOIM-2008, page 7, para 5.1. d.Inspection Points. The employer did not establish and ensure that inspection points were performed in accordance with ANSI/ALI ALOIM-2008, page 8, para. 5.6.2 A feasible means of abatement would be to determine the make/model of the auto lifts and follow manufacturer's recommendations for inspections and maintenance. Also, the employer could follow the requirements of the ANSI/ALI ALOIM-2008 on the safe operation of automobile lifts.bile
