Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck by moving vehicle hazards: a)255 State Route 17 South, Wood Ridge, NJ: Employees engaged in painting curbs were exposed to struck by hazards while working in the exit ramp of a roadway, without the use of high visibility clothing, on or about 7/6/2011. Among other methods, feabible and acceptable abatement methods to correct this hazard are to use Class 3 Reflective Vests that meet ANSI/ISEA 107-2004 Standards.
