Section 5(a)(l) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970:The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to unguarded points of operation on press brake: a) Press brake area southeast side of building between punch press area and shipping area: There is no minimum safe distance program for employees who operate the press brake on or about 7/28/10. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
