29 CFR 1960.8(b): The head of the agency shall comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards applicable to the agency: 3rd Floor, exit access measured 17 inches between the wall and duct work for the pressurization system. Employees were exposed to fire and smoke hazards. Reference: 1910.35.(g)(2) An exit access must be at least 28 inches (71.1 cm) 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(1) requires certification that the abatement of the above violation is completed.
