Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a)Date of Violation:07/15/10 Condition: An employee operating a dump truck pulled into a lane closure to clean the truck exterior instead of moving the truck to a designated cleaning area set by the employer's company policy. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method of correcting this hazard is to enforce company policy, which requires employees to clean their dump trucks in designated locations. Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
