North Carolina General Statute 95-129(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of North Carolina: The employer did not furnish each of his employees conditions of employment and a place of employment free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were living in tents which were not designed for human habitation: a) Temporary migrant labor camp located at 275-277 Gus McGhee Road, Bunn, NC - five migrant farm workers were occupying two tents in which no preparations were made to accommodate human habitation. ABATEMENT NOTICE: Among others, one feasible and acceptable method of abating this violation is to discontinue the use of these tents as a dwelling and provide housing that meets the requirements of the Migrant Housing Act.ing
