Section 5(a)1 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards: On or about 03/19/2010, an employee was struck-by a vehicle while operating a golf cart on a public roadway at 9400 Pine Ridge Drive, in Davie, Florida. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable abatement method to correct this hazardous condition would be to instruct employees on the owner's manual of the equipment and keep employees from operating golf carts on public roads.
