Section 5(a)1 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to: On or about 2/25/10, at the Interior Installation Services Inc. warehouse, the Nissan power industrial truck was operated without a seatbelt. Among other methods,a feasible and acceptable means of abatement is to follow the recommendations of the manufacturer that states that the lift operator must wear a seatbelt during operation. PLEASE NOTE: CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS VIOLATION.
