Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001 Hazard: GUARDING
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazards of fire: a) Location: Suite 11, Flame Spray Area: On or about January 27, 2010, employees engaged in a spray operation involving the use of acetylene and oxygen were not protected by an automatic sprinkler system. Among other methods, feasible way to correct these hazards are: a) Install a supervised automatic extinguishing system in accordance with NFPA 101, Chapter 40.3.2.
