Labor and Employment Article, Section 5-104(a): The employer did not furnish emp loyment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that w ere causing or likely feet above the ground, and did not have stable and secure footing while performi ng a tree felling operation. Among other feasible methods, one feasible and acce ptable abatement method to correct this hazard is to assure employees operating chain saw equipment have stable and secure footing and never work from ladders w hile using chain saw equipment as referenced by ANSI B 175.1-2000 Gasoline-Power ed Chain Saws-Safety Requirements and Stihl Chain Saw Safety Manual, Respectivel y. Abatement documentation (photographs, receipts, copies of programs, training certification, etc.) is required for this item.
